We even have a free estimate tool on our website that makes it super easy to know your cost prior to even booking an inspection with us. We keep the scheduling process easy by allowing you to view our scheduling and availability online. We also have a great team that can assist you with any questions you have regarding the inspection process. Below I have listed our top 3 inspection services.

Residential Home Inspection

Our most popular home inspection service is a residential home inspection. Many people include a home inspection as a contingency of their offer when purchasing a home. Ellingwood Pro uses InterNachi’s standards of practice to complete all home inspections. During a residential inspection the interior of the home, exterior of the home, systems and appliances in a home are inspected.

When our inspector looks over the exterior of the home he inspects the roof-covering materials, gutters, downspouts, vents, flashings, skylights, chimney, and other roof penetrations, exterior wall covering, eaves, soffits, and fascia, a representative number of windows, all doors, walkways, driveways, stairs, steps, stoops, stairways, ramps, porches, decks, balconies and many other areas outside of the home.

Some areas in the interior of the home that are inspected include but are not limited to the basement, foundation, crawlspace and structure, attic, insulation, ventilation and even the floors and walls. Our inspector even looks over the systems in the home such as the HVAC system, main fuel supply, water heating system, appliances and many more.

Many other areas of the home are also inspected during a home inspection and our inspector looks through the home very thoroughly. A detailed report is sent to the client shortly after the inspection is completed and can be viewed online for the client’s convenience. Our reports are sent out to clients the same day of the inspection. We make the process as easy as possible for our clients.

Radon Inspection

Another one of our popular services is a Radon Inspection. This is typically added onto the residential inspection but can also be booked by itself. Radon is an odorless, tasteless radioactive gas that can emit from the ground and build up in your home. It can be highly dangerous if it is not detected and can even lead to cancer if not taken care of right away. A radon test can help give homeowners peace of mind and can detect radon so precautionary measures or mitigation can take place. Since radon is not easily discovered without testing it is important to schedule a radon inspection to ensure your home is safe. Book your radon inspection with Ellingwood Pro today!

Wood Destroying Organism (aka Termite) Inspection

A Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) or termite inspection is also one of Ellingwood Pro’s more popular services. Termites and wood destroying organisms can cause serious damage to your home. During the Termites and Wood Destroying Organisms inspection, we will review and inspect the home interior and exterior for any confirmation of wood-destroying insects and wood-destroying organisms. This inspection will include a detailed Termites and Wood Destroying Organisms inspection report, known as the NPMA-33 documenting our findings.

Ellingwood Pro offers several inspection services in Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia. Be sure to check out our services and service areas on our website to see if we are a good fit for you. If you are interested in scheduling an inspection you can book your appointment online or give us a call today!
